Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry posted a video in which she endorsed Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby than as a job. She began to write writing her own songs. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her achieve fame but also make others see their significance in the world and realize the possibilities for her songs, she decided to begin singing in public. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started writing music at age nine. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora's success was never her goal. Aurora claims she loves creating music. She says that music is her preferred method to feel anything.
