Anika noni rose is an American singer-actress. She is most famous for her role as Tiana Disney's very first African American princess In The Princess and the Frog. In 2011, she was recognized as one of the Disney Legend. Rose was an Oscar-winning actress who performed the role of Lorrell in Dreamgirls. Anika noni rose is an American performer, songwriter and actress. Her most well-known role is portraying Tiana Disney's first princess of African descent in The Princess and the Frog (2009). The film was named a Disney Legend in 2011. Her most well-known roles include roles as Lorrell in Dreamgirls an Academy Award winning film (2006) and LaVerne in Starz's Power. She has also been recognized for her theatre performances, which include her lead parts as Caroline or Change Caroline or Change (2004) on Broadway for which her Tony Award was won for Best actor in the Musical.
